Wow, how time flys. I can't believe it's been close to a month since I blogged. A lot has happened this past month. I sold all of my cube storage system to my friend Joanna. I'm happy that she got them as I feel she deserves a real studio too! For my replacement I purchased new cabinets with a butcher block top. Peter installed them, took about a week and he still needs to stain the butcher block. I have also purchase lots of different shape boxes and file keepers to all my studio supplies organized. It is great, I just love it. The other good thing is that they are not bolted to the wall so if or when we move we will take them with us.

I finished the painting of the cabin by the water for Kathy. It was her Christmas present but I just finished it March 4th. It was the most detailed one I have completed. It has made me want to stop painting for a while.

Since the last blog, I created some Valentine Day cards, Saint Patrick Day Cards, Easter, Birthday and Thank you cards. I had sold so much of my stock that I have at Sunbelt for sale taht I had to create to build the inventory back up. I'll try to update my blog with photos of the new vs the old cabinets and also of the latest cards.

Last weekend I discussed with my husband about selling my cubes in my studio, he said sure if you want to. So I then posted them on Facebook and sold them immediately to one of my good friends, Joanna. There were several others that were interested but they only wanted a few and not the entire collection. I sold 18 cubes for $200.00. Went to Ikea and purchased 4 cabinets and a butcherblock counter top. Peter, my husband has been working a little every night putting them together. They are looking great and I hope they will be finished by Saturday. I have also purchased a bunch of different kind of boxes so organize will be a top priority. For the past couple of weeks I have created and sold several cards, some Valentines and some Birthday cards. I used some of the money to purchase the boxes. I have also spent a lot of time painting the cabin scene for Kathy.

I haven't posted much in the past couple of weeks, guess I have been spending to much time in the Studio! (Big Smile)

 The other day I came across the article listed below and let me tell you if you walk into my studio right now you would know a lot of Creativity has been happing!!

I have been painting a new picture for Kathy Gorton and it is very detailed but I love it! I have also been making some cards and some special order cards. This past Saturday, Diana and I went to the Enchanted Cottage and I got lots of new Dylusional Paint, Tim Holtz water color pens that I have filled with the Dylusional paint, some London travel paper. I also purchased some other craft supplies that just wouldn't let me walk out the store without them! HaHa!!

I have posted some of the cards I've recently made and also posted the painting I created for Diana. Will post more later. Good Evening!

Today in the studio, I watched several series of Downton Abbey while I painted. I am currently working on a scene of the sky, coast and light house for my best friend Diana. I spent about 3 hours painting today. Which makes me think I need to start a section for my past and future paintings. Maybe I will do that soon.  I added a few more Sentiments to the Southern Sentiments section.

Today, I cleaned part of my studio and organized the DVDs in alphabetical order. Thought I'd post a few sentiments for cards on my blog. I started with two for New Year's and two for Valentine's, I will continue to add these so the Southern Sentiment for your Cards segment will grow pretty large by the end of this year!

Today is January 18, 2013 and my goal for this year is to post more on my blog. I think I am going to make this be more than just studio information, I think I'm going to add photo's, recipes, friend stuff and other things I love, just to keep it interesting.

This year I am developing my blog as an interest in life as I see it; the people, things, art, scrapbooking, card making, painting, scooting on the Vespa, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Time to find new things, remember old memories and share with family and friends!
